Autel LUTS FOR DRONE FOOTAGE

Autel EVO footage can take on a very different feel with the right starting point and a restrained creative grade. DroneLUTs packs are made for aerial scenes, so you can move from clean correction to a considered cinematic finish.

These are creative looks for drone footage, not camera-specific conversion profiles. If you are new to grading, start with what a LUT is and how it works, then follow the steps below for your footage.

HOW TO USE AUTEL LUTS

  1. Identify whether your Autel footage is standard, flat or log. A technical conversion is needed before a creative LUT if the clip was recorded in a flat profile.
  2. Correct exposure, contrast and white balance first. This is particularly useful for bright coastlines, forest canopies and high-contrast city scenes.
  3. Import .cube files into compatible video software, or use .xmp and .dng files for Lightroom and still-image workflows.

DRONELUTS FORMATS

Every pack includes .cube, .xmp, .lrtemplate and .dng files. That means one purchase covers a broad range of video editing and photo workflows, from a desktop colour grade to Lightroom Mobile.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Can I use these LUTs on Autel EVO footage?

Yes. The LUT packs are designed for compatible drone video and photo workflows, including footage captured with Autel EVO cameras. Normalise flat or log footage first.

Are Autel LUTs included in every pack?

DroneLUTs is a collection of creative looks rather than camera-specific profiles. The same packs can be used across compatible drone footage after the correct technical conversion.

Do I need an Autel-specific conversion LUT?

That depends on the recording profile selected on your Autel camera. If the clip was recorded in a flat or log profile, use the appropriate technical conversion for that profile before a creative grade. Do not use a technical conversion intended for a different profile.

Which file should I use for Autel video?

Use the .cube creative LUT in a compatible video editor. The .xmp, .lrtemplate and .dng files are intended for supported photo and Lightroom workflows, not as log-to-Rec.709 video conversions.
