THE COLOUR CHANGE
Keeps the frame clean and cold rather than adding heavy warmth. The seven grades offer more starting points than the other individual packs.
ADJUST THE STRENGTH
Set exposure and white balance so snow has detail rather than clipping to pure white. Try the seven .cube looks, then reduce the applied blend if blue shadows overpower neutral ice or cloud. Inspect bright and shaded areas together.
These creative looks are for normal/standard-colour footage. Convert flat or log footage to Rec.709 first, then make basic exposure and white-balance corrections before applying a look. Read the full grading guide.
QUESTIONS ABOUT ARCTIC
Is Arctic only for snow?
No. It can also suit misty or overcast landscapes when you want a restrained cool finish, though it will not add snow to a scene.
Why are there seven Arctic looks?
Arctic has seven numbered .cube, .xmp and .dng looks rather than the five in most packs. The legacy .lrtemplate set has six files (number 5 was not in the original Winter collection).
