Dense woodland, shaded valleys and evergreen ridges with already-rich green coverage and a naturally darker feel.
THE COLOUR CHANGE
Pushes foliage toward deeper, moodier greens with weight in the shadows, unlike the brighter natural-green Canopy pack.
ADJUST THE STRENGTH
Start with a correctly exposed forest frame, then sample all five looks across shaded trees and any patches of sky. Dial down the .cube blend if trunks or paths sink into black; do not use the LUT as a substitute for lifting underexposed footage.
These creative looks are for normal/standard-colour footage. Convert flat or log footage to Rec.709 first, then make basic exposure and white-balance corrections before applying a look. Read the full grading guide.
QUESTIONS ABOUT DEEP FOREST
How is Deep Forest different from Canopy?
Deep Forest is for a darker, moodier green treatment; Canopy is the better starting point when you want foliage to stay lively and natural.
Will it make bare trees green?
No. The look works with colour in the source image and cannot add leaves or replace the season.
