ADJUST THE STRENGTH
Preview the five grades on both warm leaves and neutral areas such as roads or clouds. Reduce the .cube blend if reds become too strong, and correct exposure first so dark branches retain separation.
These creative looks are for normal/standard-colour footage. Convert flat or log footage to Rec.709 first, then make basic exposure and white-balance corrections before applying a look. Read the full grading guide.
QUESTIONS ABOUT EMBER
Will Ember make summer trees look autumnal?
Not reliably. It is intended to shape warm tones already present, not replace green leaves with a different season.
Can it work outside a forest?
Yes, for landscapes with existing rust or copper colours. Judge the result against neutral parts of the shot so the overall image stays balanced.
